This week's beautiful record cover is one you'll get to see at Sunday's kissa session featuring Charles Mingus. The cover painting was created by the incredible S. Neil Fujita: a Japanese American who was actually interred before fighting for the U.S. Army in both Europe and the Pacific. He had a celebrated career as a designer at Columbia Records and eventually became a professor at Parsons School of Design. Check out this excellent nod to Abstract Expressionism from 1959!  We've also got a track from Mingus' album The Black Saint and the Sinner Lady below as a teaser for Sunday's party.
